Thai Volunteer Visa

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA CATEGORY “O” (Volunteer)

A Thai Volunteer Visa is a type of non-immigrant visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Thailand for the purpose of volunteering at a registered organization or charitable institution. This type of visa is typically valid for a period of three to six months, and it may be possible to extend it if necessary.

To be eligible for a Thai Volunteer Visa, you must have a letter of invitation from a registered Thai organization or institution that is willing to host you as a volunteer. You will also need to provide proof of your ability to support yourself financially during your stay in Thailand, as well as evidence of your health insurance coverage. Once you have all of the necessary documents, you can apply for a Thai Volunteer Visa at a Thai embassy or consulate in your home country, or online through the Thai eVisa system. If your application is approved, you will receive a visa stamp in your passport that allows you to enter and stay in Thailand for the duration of your visa.

While you are in Thailand on a Thai Volunteer Visa, you must adhere to the conditions of your visa and the laws of Thailand. This includes volunteering only at the organization or institution that invited you, and not engaging in any paid employment or other activities that are not related to your volunteer work. Failure to comply with these conditions could result in the revocation of your visa and deportation from Thailand.

You should know what you’ll need to bring before you even get to the test center. You can’t apply for a driving license if you don’t have the right documents. We recommend checking the Department of Land Transport website first to make sure your documents are up to date.— https://www.dlt.go.th/en/
